“This is one of the rare mechanic shops in the area that is supported by AAA warranty. Read the reviews and gave the place a shot. George is great guy, a native east coaster from NJ/NY. Brought my car in due to massive coolant leak. Already knew it was a hose issue. When dropping car off, I explained to George a little history on car just in case he might need it. At first, I was a bit scared, cause he said it could be radiator and all sorts of other complex problems. My mind was thinking, "here we go again, a mechanic telling you to hush, creating fictitious problems to overcharge me." Although he was busy, he called me about 4:30pm to pick up car. George confirmed I had a simple hose problem. Not even an actual physical issue with the hose, but the metal clamp affixing it became corroded, thus loosened, causing antifreeze leak. The actual clamp is $3ish. The total repair cost was $125.00, and that's with the "AAA discount." I do think it's a bit costly repair for a worn $3 clamp. I don't think there was any AAA discount at that cost nor was any discount noted on the receipt. I did like George's persona and technical ability. Is the repair costly and with an applied discount? I really don't know, but I do know that a mechanic industry standard is 75-90$ per hour of labor with 1 hour minimum - even if it's a darn $3 clamp. What gave me peace is the George's sincerity along with AAA's warranty service by AAA affiliated shops. I will visit again!”
