(May 16, 2016, 4:05 pm)I have had the need for Dr. Bullek's expertise on several occasions--achilles rupture, shoulder surgery, chronic back problems. He is my kind of doctor. Tells you what the issues are, what your choices are, what you can expect following any of the possible action paths, and which one he would choose if he were in your shoes. Pragmatic and honest. He sizes up your overall health, level of activity, priorities and expectations going forward and lays out the treatment options clearly for you to make a decision. If you don't want to make a decision, fine with him. If you want to wait, see how it goes without surgery, that's fine, too. He will tell you what you risk by going through with a procedure and what you risk by waiting. He is big on trying non-invasive/low-impact therapies first if they stand a chance of providing relief, but he will tell you whether he thinks it will help or not. Always up to the patient to make the decision. I have 100% faith in him.
