Large parking area that services both the Douglas Trail and Garvey Springs Trail. Large it may be, but it still fills up during the height of the season and on weekends. Both trails terminate at the Appalachian Trail on the top of the ridge after gaining approximately 1000 feet. The Douglas is the easier of the 2 trails, Garvey Springs is steeper, more rocky, and far narrower.
Great place to begin hiking, backpacking, and paddling adventures. Connections to the Appalachian Trail and Delaware River and adjacent to a NJ State Park campground.
Awesome waterfall to the right of the parking lot!! Really short walk to the beginning of the falls. The higher you go the more falls you get to experience
Good parking area. Frequently patrolled.
The Douglas and garvey springs trail heads are both right across the road from the parking lot. Douglas will be to the right and Garvey to the left. The waterfalls are really close to the road and are great! We followed the Douglas up for a while and connected to rockcoarse. It's a good workout but not much to look at for a couple of miles. We tried to make it to the pond but it got really steep so we turned around. If you're trying to get to the pond make sure you take Garvey springs I'm sure it would have been quicker.
