“I moved to Elizabeth from LI in 1985..I needed to find a new pediatrician as I had a 5 month old..I went to Elizabeth Pediatrics on Salem..We moved to North Plainfield when my son was two yrs old and changing doctors never once entered my mind. Dr. Shukan treated my son for 16 yrs..There was a time when HMO's came on the scene and they, Elizabeth Pediatrics, were not in the network. I paid out of pocket and continued to go to Dr. Shukan. He was the best in my eyes. When I needed to get a 2nd opinion for a tonsilectomy, I went to an ENT Specialist here in town and he asked me how I ended up with Dr. Shukan..I simply told him that I never changed his pediatrician when we moved to North Plainfield. Why?, I asked..this doctor looked at me and said this. If Steven Shukan says your son needs his tonsils taken out, then he does...I will not question the doctor who's the best in the state. And with that, I knew he had to be good..He was always right on the money and we loved him.”

“Don’t listen to these people with there bad reviews. You can’t please everyone. I been going there for 10 yrs. Place is great if not I wouldn’t be going there. Staff is polite, nurses are good which come and go of course. The doctors are great. I just have a preference of which doctor I see. So I call to see what days and hrs he is in that week. Then request him when I check my self in at the front desk. I use to live 15 min away from there. I moved now I’m 35 min away and still go out of my way to go there. So that’s gotta tell you something”
