“Ever since I’ve moved to West Orange I had the hard time of finding a decent barbershop. I haven’t had any luck. I always had to go out of town to find a place. Always trying new place with no luck. I honestly disliked getting a haircut cause I knew it would end up bad. But when Made Men opened up and my friend told me about it. I was like why not it’s very close. Let me tell you god has blessed me because this right here is the perfect barbershop. Not only do they provide you with quality cuts but the environment is very chill. Good tunes, regular discussions on music, sports or whatever and overall a great vibe. It’s a very comfortable place to be at. You will no feel any way awkward or left out because everyone there is genuinely friendly. This is what all barbershops should be like. The best part is you could just walk in and would get a great haircut without waiting no more then 30 minutes tops. If not that then as soon as you walk in. Not only that but it’s not even expensive. $15 for a haircut and $20 with a beard. Anywhere else in West Orange or nearby it would be $20-25 just for a haircut alone. And if you want a valid barber. Just ask for Mr. Black. I swear he is the only person I’d trust with my hair. The fades perfect, the shape up is precise. I promise you when you leave out that barbershop you will be leaving with the up most confidence ever feeling like the man. Do yourself a favor and go there for your next haircut or shape up.”

“Today was my first experience at V’s, and I will say it more than met my expectations. Danny (my barber) could not have been more personable and attentive. He did a great job cutting my hair. The place itself is a mix of the “old school” barbershop your Dad took you to combined with today’s high-tech look and feel. It is clean and well-lit, but not overly so.There is plenty of room for privacy, if that is what you want. They also have an app if you want to book online with your choice of barber (male or female), or you can just walk in. This was a win-win for me - nice, friendly place, the price is lower than where I used to go, and the cut is much better!”

“Understand that for years I have searched far and wide from Irvington, to Newark, and even Elizabeth for a good salon. This salon is by far one of the best I’ve been to. I don’t go on the typical busy times (weekend mornings). My work schedule is a little different so thankfully I can walk in on a Tuesday afternoon and be one of the only people there before the after school heard rushes in. They’re very polite and nice and are quick with working on your hair. The prices are fair and they don’t play around. Some salons I’ve gone to charge you differently each visit for the same services done. For example, one week I’m being told I have to pay $15 and the next I’m told $18. I don’t argue because it’s not much of a difference to me but be consistent with your prices. It’s closer to home as well so that’s always a plus. Parking isn’t really bad because if you’re like me and go on a random weekday in the afternoon, there will be street parking available. If you go when it’s packed, I recommend parking your car at the Popeye’s at the corner and walking a block down. I’ve done it countless times and have never had any issues when walking back to my car. With that being said, this really is good spot to visit should you be in the market for a fresh new salon to try out.”
