“The Star is part of the Cape Resorts empire - so if you arrive on a week day you can check in at the main desk of Congress Hall. They have different sized rooms. Ours was quite small and cozy - on the 3rd floor of the main building there (The Star is really two buildings). Everything is as it should be - clean and pretty. House keeping checks on you twice a day - once in the morning, and then once in the late afternoon in case towels need replacing and beds need straightening.”

“Was there for a Christmas Dinner Party for an organization I belong. Service was second to none and the food was excellent. I had the Prime Rib and it was one of the best I've had. The wife got the seafood combo which included almost every seafood from Lobster with crab stuffing to flounder and shrimp. Even with serving 140 dinners at the same time all were hot and extra servers were brought in to serve the dinners quickly. Appetizers and bar drinks perfect. Been here before always consistent great food and service. Great place for special occasions as it can be pricey. Even though upscale always casual atmosphere.”

“Great sub sandwiches !!!!. Service is really good. Very helpful staff. They use all Thuman's cold cuts. Their sandwich board is full of choices and of course you make your own combination. They have very good bread to make their creations. We had fresh mozzarella on a few of our sandwiches that was also so good. The place is take out only which is perfect for us because we take the sandwiches back to the beach. Love going to Primo Hoagies when we visit Wildwood Beach.”

“I have been here twice. Both times we left full and happy! Large, delicious portions for sure! My picky son devoured the pizza????. My biggest observance this trip was that it was obvious they use and extremely good quality mozzarella in their dishes. The cheese stretched for miles and it had a nice mild flavor. It was not greasy or rubbery like some places serve. More of a locals place than touristy spot, which is also good. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. We’ll be back for sure!”

“Wednesday nights during the summer one of our local farmers lets the town use one of his fields to host pizza nights on the farm. There are lots of picnic tables set up and a portable pizza shop is set up. They make delicious artisan pizzas and deliver them to your table. Its BYO and all the neighbors come our for a great social evening. Starts at 4:30pm and ends when you leave. A great local tradition!”

Great for coming at lunch, in and out within a few minutes. Pizza is definitely solid and very good, never overcooked undercooked or burned like other local places , but it all depends on how you like yours. 2 slices and a soda for $5, average. When in the area I will choose this place 5 out of 5 times over the other local "pizzerias".”

One small issue was they only had a small rectangular table for 3 adults and a child which was more for 2 adults. No larger tables? Very cramped. Will definitely go back though but have to make sure we get a normal size table.”
