“A Battello is a small boat often tied to larger boats and used to bring people back and forth from the shore. I’m not sure why this name was chosen and a lot of times I’ve passed their statue with the name under it and wondered what it was. I found out that it’s a real jewel on the Hudson in Jersey city. The first thing you’ll notice is that while the building itself looks small, the establishment is incredibly spacious, and well thought out. Very very clean. The staff is very courteous and professional. While sitting at the bar having a coffee I listen to the bar keep and a host discuss the wine, making sure it was chilled properly etc. very thoughtful. I liked that the customer doesn’t know that they’re working behind the scenes to make the moment nice. The view outside of Manhattan is incredible also and worth the visit if just to look at the skyline while having a Manhattan from the bar. It also looks like the beginning of some construction on a adjacent bit of land of which I’m hopeful it won’t obstruct the view. This is how a restaurant should be and I’ll write more when I have time to eat there.”

Whee Get Fit makes it possible for me to workout and not have that mom guilt. I love that I can get a workout in while I play with my daughters and while they learn to socialize. The owner Jen is educated in pre- and postnatal fitness making these classes attainable and beneficial no matter where you are in your fitness and motherhood journey.”

“The experience was nice, the food was pretty good but I just can't say for the price value & quantity of food you get didn't equal out evenly. Also I will say, that I like hot & spicy foods but if you have someone who doesn't like it don't do the HOT broth even the mild was extremely HOT! Unfortunately to the point where you couldn't enjoy the rest of your meal due to burning your taste buds on that one broth! So my advice would be to do the not HOT broth, and and to your spice. I did that and it was a much more enjoyable meal. Luckily I hadn't put all my meal (noodles, meat, herbs and vegetables) in the HOT broth right away without testing it, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to enjoy it.”
