“Gyro Joint is located in Union City, New Jersey; preparing lamb, chicken, and falafel plates and gyros. Gyro is a popular fast food in Athens and New York and Chicago. Gyro means “Turn” in the Greek language. So grilling a vertical spit of stacked meat and slicing it off as it cooks was developed firstly in Turkey, Bursa.
