Kirtland AFB RV Park

Lots of sites to choose from. We are staying on the older side where there are larger gravel sites and trees, some grass. The newer side has very long gravel sites but no vegetation. There is a playground for children and the best off leash dog area (turf with wood chips, water station, poop bags, trash cans, obstacle course) on the older side. They do not accept reservations but have a lot of sites and do not tend to fill up except for the hot air balloon festival.

Huge RV sites. Not a dog friendly place. Very few places for a dog to relieve himself, and the best places, the ones with grass, say no dogs. Other than the dog thing this is a nice park.
If visiting Kirkland AFB with a motorhome or a trailer over 10' use the Truman gate. Don't attempt the Gibson gate and if you try the Eubank gate you'll struggle. This information should be on the FamCamp website.

The park is very nice. It has a great dog park, a dog wash and laundry. Janet, the park manager is awesome!

This is a bare minimum park, but the new sites have full hookups and are larger. The bath house has two individual, large shower/bath rooms. The price has increased and is now more expensive than the nice park on the west side. It's just more convenient to the North side. You have to be able to get on the base to stay here.

Has a dog wash station and a really cool dog park. We enjoyed our stay however, the old lady that runs the camp is not very nice. Our plans changed and we had to leave a day early and she refused to refund our money. $25 is not going to break us, it's the principal. We also found a nasty note on laundry facilities door talking about securing the laundry room if dryer sheets were found in the floor again. We expected better value system in our military facilities, especially an AFB.
