(October 1, 2020, 11:48 am)Great place for a day hike. No restrooms, so make sure you take care of your business before hand. We only did 3 miles, but the trails go on forever. Lots of other hikers on the trails, so you're not alone.

I found some House branches.. you need to go and look for yourself because words are never enough to explain how beautiful is life!??????

(July 19, 2020, 6:19 pm)Beautiful place to hike. Watch out for bears and mountain lions. There was a bear only two trees away from us and we didn’t even notice him till it was too late. Then we casually walked away in the opposite direction. My heart was pounding.

Canyon Estates Trailhead is located in a residential area, just north of I-40 on the extreme SE corner of the Sandia Mountains near Tijeras (or maybe in Tijeras?). Although there is no fee to park, there also isn't a lot of parking space, maybe enough room for a dozen cars, and there are no pit toilets.
