“These first responders have been to my home many times due to my husbands heart, lungs & his hip. Each time they come they treat my husband with such respect and are really good at keeping him calm during exacerbations of his issues. We have relocated to a lower elevation, but I feel the need to let the world know how truly Thankful we are for all the care these first responders provided to my husband!”

“My brother Tony, my granddaughter Jackie and I visited at Albuquerque Fire Department, Station 10 recently and what an experience! Our intention was a brief visit with my son, and letting my 4 year old granddaughter see her firefighter uncle at the station. What we found was an incredible experience. The crew was most welcoming and invited us to observe the study in progress, where one of the firemen was leading a demonstration on building a fire with only timber and friction. Firefighter David explained the science behind fire and variables involved. Afterwards, firefighter Peter gave her a tour of the station, the huge firetruck and his suit and gear. The trucks and station were impeccably clean and organized. I watched my granddaughter with wide eyes, become excited and wowed when the crew then pulled the red, white, and chrome truck out of the garaged area. With lights flashing and a horn blast, we witnessed a show of the truck's abilities, the massive directed water blast that dowses dangerous fires, and most of all, the most talented expertise and strength of our Albuquerque Firemen. A sincere thank you to Captain Martin, Driver David, Firefighter Peter, and Firefighter Diego, for an awesome inspiring experience none of us will forget. My granddaughter will always remember this amazing visitation as she grows up appreciating these incredible men, our true heros. G. Wyatt”

“AFR Station House#4 responded to our call about seeing and smelling smoke so very quickly. Like us, they initially couldn’t determine the source of the smoke. They kept looking and asking questions until they located the source in an office-sized refrigerator motor that had seized up. Had they not been so thorough, it could easily have caused a fire. We are so grateful for the kindness and professionalism shown by these members of AFR. We are so lucky to live in their area.”
