Amazing time at the Argus Hotel. What a visual masterpiece! Stunning original woodwork with a modern esthetic flare, created a relaxing yet creative look and feel. The attention to detail is quite evident! Friendly and attentive staff made me feel right at home at this luxury urban boutique hotel. I will definitely stay again!
So I have not stayed here yet, but attending there 1st Friday event was so amazing. This place is so cool and chic and in such aregat location. I am lucky it is in my backward. I was there for an artist showcase and the turn out was actually very nice. This place is historic but well maintained but great vibe. I would totally have an event there. 50 people would be the max I think. Very luxe but inviting. I can't wait to stay here. Bday present to me probably. Highly recommend to at most check out the cocktail lounge.
We stayed here on Thanksgiving night 2022. The hotel is beautiful, with well appointed accommodations. There is a continental breakfast available with healthful selections.
The manager/staff are available by text or phone call. The door locks use a keypad code system for entry. My only suggestion would be for the management to alert customers in advance that the individual room doors don't lock automatically when they close behind you when you leave. You need to lock them with the key given. The doors to the outside do lock automatically behind you when you leave. This could be printed on the information card that is in the rooms. All in all, it is a beautiful boutique hotel!
The Argus Hotel in Albany is a wonderful boutique hotel that was very welcoming right from the start. Terra leaned out the window to welcome us and told us to go ahead and bring our bicycles in through the front door. She and Matt have imbued this place with a warm and friendly atmosphere and everyone we encountered was super helpful. The place is uniquely beautiful, and the rooms are large. The in house cocktail bar was a plus and we invited nine friends over we had just met on the ECT that day and Jess and Nick made it a super fun evening.
