Our son showed an interest last summer so we started him in the Albany County program. After the session ended our son begged us to let him join the dojo where Shihan Butler was. I will tell you this was the best decision we ever made! Our son Eli absolutely loves karate. I am so grateful we found this amazing dojo! We are part of a family now! “I came to Cichon's Wing Chun Kung Fu for my 6-year-old daughter to learn self-defense. This style’s forms and techniques enable even a child to hold their own against an adult would-be attacker. Sifu Russ is attentive to all his students and has been very accommodating and patient in working with my daughter. He is technically very precise but is flexible in teaching approaches to help his students understand the lesson. The studio offers an incredibly supportive environment filled with deeply kind people of every skill level. My daughter and I have been made to feel as part of a family. There are no belts or uniforms and each student progresses at their own pace with direction and tutelage from Sifu Russ.
