Had the Pleasure of meeting Steve Conway at the Concord Penske Location, The truck was well maintained, Clean and ran great, The value was good but the service was incredible, I went home and told my Wife that I found a new friend in the truck rental business, Steve was professional, helpful , Knowledgeable and truly a sincere good Man. These days finding a combination of value and great service is hard to find. These folks got it figured out, I will be going back. Highly impressed.
Clean trucks great guys . Mike and Steven will help with your rental needs
When Budget couldn’t provide the 26-ft trucks that we had reserved with them, they really left us up the creek without a paddle. U-haul had no trucks available and we were desperate to find anyone who could help us with our move from California to Utah. I was put in touch with Steven Conway at Penske Concord through a coworker who had used them before and was delighted with their service. Steve sympathized with me and worked quickly to get us the trucks we needed on short-notice. I cannot stress how much I appreciate Steve’s help: he was kind and polite to us and offered us true, no-nonsense customer service and it saved us. The trucks we rented were clean and in very good working order: they handled the very mountainous journey from CA to Utah with ease and comfort. Moving is stressful; if you need to rent a truck, do yourself a favor and skip Uhaul and Budget and go right to Steven. You’ll be glad that you did.
I wouldn't have used this location based on these Google Reviews but one day about a year ago I had no choice, figured how bad could a franchise of Penske be...
Well, it's been a year and they're my go-to. Just know that returning it full-fuel means you should fill it up until it's overflowing. Tell any concerned onlookers you live a life of excess (you've only got groceries from Safeway in back) and drive off laughing for complete effect.
The owner is a stand-up guy and gives a small-business experience that is becoming harder to find in the world. He cares about the service he provides to customers over the years, not just once.
In sum: I don't know how the reviews are so bad for the only 5 star truck rental location I've come across.
