My dad has Dementia and was taken to this facility almost a month ago. At first, I was terrified because I hear horror stories about facilities. That's why I wanted to wait before I proceeded with a review. As we approach the month mark, I can say I am happy with the facility especially, the staff. Every single person has been a Godsend, from admissions to finance to the staff and nurses on the memory care unit floor. I cry every visit but its never because I worry about his care. Its because I wish he didn't have this dreadful illness at all. My only wish is that they didn't medicate my dad. Today that nearly broke me seeing him so out of it. I assume its for his benefit because I know he gets anxious and aggressive at times but I will monitor this as the days pass. Is it the most glamourous place? No. Do they do a good job in caring for patients? So far it seems so. Overall, so far so good. I want peace of mind but I also want peace for my Daddy in this later part of his life.
This place is very cautious, regarding letting individuals in to their facility. It seems keeping the residents and staff safe from these pandemic respiratory issues we are facing now is primer on the list things they will not accept into their facility, which I appreciate!
Good work pinnacle!
I visited one of my relatives at this facility over the Thanksgiving holiday. Staff were friendly and professional. Rapid testing was quick and easy. Location was bright and clean. Elevators are in operation. My uncle has a clean and well lit room, with a comfortable bed. Staff clearly were knowledgeable and caring about their patients.
My father has been at Pinnacle for 2 yrs in long term care. His RN floor Mgr, Chris is caring and notifies me of any concerns. The RN nurse, Helen, cares for him with compassion and professionalism. The floor Aides care for him with dignity. Colin, Recreation Director facilitates my weekly video chats with my dad bc I do not live close enough to visit as often as I would like. If there is a delay in the call Colin will make sure that someone eventually makes the video call. He has been taken to Red Lobster for lunch, the outdoor patio, to a staff fashion show, Religious services and recently I received a video of dad enjoying an outdoor BBQ. I truly appreciate the care, affection and entertainment Recreation provides. Donna, his Social Worker returns my call, emails promptly. The Cons: you could spend your day calling his floor and no one answers, room floor sticky and dirty and his floor needs updated beds. He will not be using salon services again for a haircut bc they only seem to buzz all his hair completely off even after asking them to leave it longer. The staff at Pinnacle are hard working and care. I appreciate ALL they do. Thank you.
My sister has been a resident at Pinnacle Multicare for nearly two years. She expresses that she is happy in this environment. She is treated very well. She enjoys the good food. My sister also states that she enjoys the activities, such as the arts and crafts, and playing Jenga with her fun loving, compassionate recreational staff member Nydia Salaman. A big shout out goes to my sister's CNA, Angie, who goes above and beyond her job description. Special thanks to my sister's social worker Kimani Joseph, with her peaceful demeanor, and efficient attentiveness towards my sister's needs. Thank you to the transportation department for always scheduling transportation for my sister's out patient appointments.
