“This review is long overdue! Mitchison and Sons worked for me 10 years ago prepping two sites for horse barns. The highest quality site prep then. The most current project we’ve contracted them for was another barn. This project was more difficult. We not only had site prep on a hilly knob, but a driveway around a large boggy pond to get to the job site. Mitchison and sons are true artists, not only do they create the best site pads, they know what material is needed for each difficult project’s location. This excavating site for a barn was created with a flat circular drive around the barn with a new driveway coming into that area. Kyle Mitchison takes pride in his work, is a true visionary on site prep, drainage, making the job match the natural earth around it. The prices are honest, ethical and they care about people! Rare these days! There isn’t a better company out there for material, site prep, driveways or excavating!!!”

“From the moment I entered onto the grounds of The Lily Pond Sanctuary, I felt that it was a very special place and after speaking with Susan and given a tour of the cattery, aviary, barn, and outdoor play yard for the dogs I just knew it was the perfect forever home for Ms. Charlotte. Charlotte was a very shy and skittish kitty who was in constant fear of humans. She needed an immediate and forever home where she could thrive and just be a curious cat. Susan took her in with open arms. One year later Susan agreed to take Tuffy, a special needs feral guy who, against all odds, survived living outdoors with a severe case of stomatitis. Tuffy had undergone surgery to remove all of his teeth and the ONLY place I could imagine him living the rest of his years is at the Lily Pond Sanctuary. I love getting photos and updates on their lives and both cats are doing wonderful in their care. I am forever grateful to Susan and the entire team at the Lily Pond Sanctuary for their compassion and immeasurable dedication to Charlotte, Tuffy and all animals in their care. The farmstay itself is a converted barn, very modern. If you go during colder weather keep in mind that the building doesn't have insulation. Beds are warm and comfy but pack for cold weather!”

“I have been riding with Deborah for 14 years and she is an amazing instructor for riders of all levels and ages. She always maintains a drama-free barn, that allows everyone to build relationships with each other (and the horses). Some of my closest life-long friends i've met through this barn, and it has positively effected my life in ways I cannot begin to explain. Along with the support of the tight-knit, welcoming community and Deborah's patience, I have been able to overcome so many obstacles in my riding (including my horse show nerves). Also Deborah has helped me find several horses throughout the years, along with her army of school ponies that pushed my ability and provided me with the tools to ride my current horse that I never thought I would be able to ride. She starts everyone off correctly with a strong foundation of skills that support you through the rest of your riding "career". Finally, Chatham Equestrian Center has amazing facilities and I know that my horse is in the best hands.”

I really didn't expect to find the help I desperately needed(mainly because it was all so last minute, which was my own fault) and, much to my surprise, I received a phone call last Friday from Betsy. She really did everything in her power to assist me in my endeavor. Betsy made it all possible so that me and my two kitties were able to get in on Monday! When I arrived I met Heather, a very kind young woman who also highly impressed me with her willingness to work with my hectic timing and schedule, was able to even allow me to show up slightly past the closing time! I really didn't expect such amazing and caring customer service because, generally speaking, most businesses during this pandemic don't seem to be as proactive and effective. I was wrong to assume that Animal Kind would be like most other businesses. They seriously showed how much they care and are willing to help their customers,and the animals, that are in desperate need of help. I am absolutely grateful for Betsy's understanding nature and her true care of my delicate situation. I had lost all hope only an hour before she called me on Friday and she truely has been a blessing to me and my kitties. Her love and compassion for the well-being of animals in need shined through from the moment I answered her call. I highly recommend Animal Kind to all that read this. They offer a litany of services as well but they seriously go above and beyond to satisfy the needs of whoever calls to inquire. “By far, 14K is simply the BEST! They are head and shoulders above every jewelry store establishment I have ever dealt with in my 63 years of life! Let me share a couple of experiences to demonstrate exactly why I rate them so highly. My first experience came shortly after two different family members (my oldest daughter and my brother-in-law) shared glowing recommendations of 14K after the store had exquisitely designed and custom-made their engagement rings. My initial needs were far more modest. On a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Israel back in 2018, I had purchased a silver ring for my wife with a profoundly meaningful personal inscription on it. Unfortunately, after only three years of wear, it developed a crack and needed to be repaired. One jewelry store relatively close to our home attempted to fix and restore it, but within weeks, it had cracked again. I was deeply disappointed because this ring had special sentimental value. As a last resort, I decided to bring this project to 14K. Boy was I glad I did! Not only did the staff at 14K restore this ring to its original beauty and condition, they even reinforced the ring’s band to ensure that it would never crack again. My wife and I were both elated. Fast-forward a year and I quickly decided to transact business again with this wonderful family-owned business. This time the stakes were considerably higher. My wife and I were about to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and I wanted to do something extravagant to express my love for her. My vision was to present her with a diamond-studded anniversary ring that would outpace anything I had ever previously placed on her fingers. And so, I contacted 14K once again and spoke with Nick who listened intently to what I was planning. Over several weeks, we brainstormed and collaborated until our mutual idea of the perfect “showstopper” ring came into focus. It was then up to Nick and his equally talented brother Mike to carefully, gem by gem, make it a reality. On July 19th, I placed their stunning creation on my wife’s finger, leaving her surprised and grateful beyond words. Though photos are woefully inadequate to display just how gorgeous this ring really is, I have uploaded some images for your benefit.
