I drive 1hr and a 1/2 and am happy to wait as long as it takes, and leave my baby in a kennel if needed. Dr. Schaefer is the best ophthalmologist and surgeon and I trust ONLY him to take care of my loved ones!
Dr Shaefer is the best eye doctor! He is the only reason that I can see! There are no words to describe the appreciation I have for him. The office staff is top notch also !
In 2000 I was diagnosed with hyper thyroid, Graves disease after family noticed many symptoms, including increasingly large protruding eyes. After years of trying other treatments, and increasing protrusion of eyes, with lots of depression, physical embarrassment, and medical side effects, I was refered to Dr Schaefer.
Beginning in 2004, I went through multiple surgical eye procedures with very dramatic results, by his hand.
Now, so many years later, and in critical care medical field myself for >30yrs, I have pointed so many in his direction.
My results were immediate, and lasting still. Since then, I have expressed countless times that Dr Schaefer changed my life!!!!
He DID, and if your reading this still, typing these words can't express my posivity, gratitude, endless thankfulness to this superior surgeon.
If you've read this long.. I since that time frame survived an agressive cancer 2x, and outlived my life expectancy. I hold Dr. Schaefer up there in my life as improving MD treatment issues I have had, about equal to the oncologist that saved me.

I have been seeing Dr. Schaefer since 2000 & would be lost without him. I have graves disease and his caring, knowledge of my disease is incredible. I never wait long as previous have stated. In years back it was longer but now its great. Ive told him to never retire!!
