  I had the most incredible experience being cared for by an exceptional team the day before Memorial Day. From the moment I arrived, the triage team, X-ray department, and nurses went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and well-being. Despite being out of town and unsure of what to expect in little valley NY when I got injured, their expertise and compassion put me at ease. The drive to the hospital was undoubtedly the most challenging part, but once I arrived, I was in excellent hands. I would like to express my gratitude to Mark, Mike, Renee, Dr. Wenner, and the countless others who contributed to my exceptional care. As someone who works in healthcare, experiencing being a patient for the first time with a serious injury on the eve of a national holiday was a new and uncertain situation for me. However, every aspect of my care was nothing short of perfect, and I am truly grateful for the remarkable service I received.

  I have read a lot of reviews here, and the negative ones make it seems like I'm reading about a hospital in an alternate reality. I have been to this hospital many times and have never had anything but great care there. It's very clean, the hospital staff is caring and helpful, the doctors and nurses that I have been associated with have been amazing. They treat you like you're family. Yes, you sometimes have to wait at the emergency room, but that's the way it is at all hospitals, in my experience. We are so luck to have a small local hospital in our area that has caring, quality doctors, nurses, and staff. They have been working hard in the last several years to bring in specialists so we don't have to go to Buffalo. As far as the review about the emergency room not letting anyone go in with their loved one, I have never seen that. Their rule is to let one person go in with each patient. I have personally experienced that several times at all times of day and night. They have even let two people go in on occasion. When the emergency room doctor had to give me the news that my mom was terminal, he let my husband come in also to help me cope with such bad news. Long live Bertrand Chaffee Hospital!
