I love this library. They also have a program that runs one time a month on second Thursday from 10am-1pm they given out free coffee and cookies and free resources. Everyone is welcome.
Bedford Library has served patrons from its beautiful building on Franklin Avenue since 1905. Today, patrons visit Bedford Library for many reasons, including its adult learning center on the second floor, at which adults develop literacy skills to meet their personal, educational and employment goals.

The first library in the Brooklyn Public Library system. It opened in 1897 in the former P.S. 3, a schoolhouse in a cornfield. After two other locations, it moved to its present 1905 Carnegie building.
<p>Founded in 1897, the Bedford Library is the first library in the Brooklyn Public Library system and one of the neighborhood's oldest living institutions. The inside of the library was renovated and modernized in 2010. The bi-level library features two community meeting rooms, two quiet rooms, 15 computers and a literacy center.
