Excellent! Must go! I would recommend going early it will be easier to find parking around the area. Also, since they only let a few people in at a time for safety, it will make your wait super short. Which I think its great. ENJOY AND STAY SAFE!
Prompt and courteous service with cakes and cookies I haven't seen available since I was a kid in B'klyn. I am now 66yrs. old & truly enjoyed my visit and delicious purchases. The semolina bread with seeds...amazing. Thanks so much.
I needed a cheesecake for my husband's birthday and two other bakeries literally bailed on me day of. I had never been to Villabate Alba (I live a bit far out from there) but ordered a red velvet cheesecake from UberEats. It came almost immediately (and in a snowstorm!) and was SO delicious. I am so grateful for them for helping make my husband's birthday a happy one amid the pandemic.
Love cake from this long standing Italian bakery. They are always busy but the line goes fast. Very orderly inside and tons of pastry selections. I love their canoli cream chocolate moose cake. It's so delicious. Every time I buy it for a friend's birthday everyone loves it.
We took a trip here to pick up a pecan pie on Thanksgiving. This was my first time buying anything from Villabate other than a sugar cookie. As for the Pecan pie. The filling was absolutely perfect. The crust wasn’t burnt or under-baked. The small/medium size was $12, and it was enough to cut into 10 slices, so it was definitely worth the price. The line was handled very well and moved very quickly, I was behind about 10 people and ended up being served in about 8 minutes. The bakery floor also seemed especially clean, and social distancing was very apparent. I’m giving this bakery 5 stars although, I would have preferred crushed pecan topping, or at least softer pecans. Just a matter of personal preference.
