Get over here, Brooklyn! Beautifully prepared and presented dishes in a lovely, calm and truly unique space. Absolutely delicious food and drinks, inventive menu for meat-eaters and vegans alike. So worth the trip from wherever you may be.
A lovely little place on Union Street. Not only does it look like a beach shack, but you kind of have that feeling while sitting on the porch.
Want some tea fine, but then theirs the sake, want sake but then their's sake cocktails. Hungry? They serve a great miso seafood soup. There are a few more food options on the menu. All credible offerings.
Seating is limited on the porch to about six people.
If you live anywhere around Gowanus it's a great place to walk over to.
This is a hidden gem in Gowanus. We stopped by for tea and coffee on a Wednesday afternoon and was amazing by the selection of teas, coffees, sakes.
We tried the Banana Milk Coffee and an ice Tulsi tea- both done to perfection. It’s a intimate space with three tables, a window to order, and gorgeous decor, modeled after the Japanese concept of Chinju no Mori (Sacred Shrine Forest).
Easily my new favorite spot in Brooklyn. A bunch of other reviews call this place a hidden gem and they're right. Such great food, drinks, and vibes. My partner and I had a date night here and everything we got was delicious and the portions were generous. The decor and experience have wonderful, homey quirks. I'll be coming back soon.
We just moved back to Brooklyn and this was our first stop. We are so happy to see that Mirror Tea House has an expanded menu. We took our toddler son here and had drinks outside and it was really fun. Great date place, great takeout that is healthy and inventive and really really lovely owners. This is a hidden gem and is a must visit for a meal, takeout or drinks (both alcoholic and non--amazing tea and coffee too).
Update: We got gift cards as holiday gifts and look how cute they are! We nearly fell over with how nice it all looked. Support your community and this lovely business this holiday season!
