Learn French BK

I participated in 3 group classes virtually with Emile (Beginner 3 to Intermediate 2); Emile is intelligent, doesn't waste time, resourceful, and knowledgeable (esp. films). I learned key grammar concepts + colloquial vocab, so now I can speak some basic French! Can't wait to use my skills in France.

I also appreciate LFBK's events & programming. Some of my sessions only had 1 other student; selfishly, I appreciated the attention, but I hope more students know about LFBK's fantastic education so they can keep classes going smoothly! So sign up!

I have been taking private conversational lessons with Emile over Zoom since March 2020. It has been a great experience as my French, which was rusty at first, has improved tremendously from the class. We speak about a different topic each week and that has helped me build a more varied vocabulary and has made me more adept conversationally. I would recommend private conversational lessons for all levels as the one-on-one attention has been extremely helpful. I have also found that taking the class over Zoom has not necessarily detracted from the overall experience as I believe I am getting a similar level of instruction and interaction as if it were in person. Emile has also been a great instructor as he is patient and works at your level.

This is a really good course!!! The instructor was excellent and the class material interesting and challenging. The two hour sessions were dynamic and the time was fully utilized for learning.
I was a student from August through October 2019 (two modules) and truly enjoyed the experience.
I will be traveling abroad for a while, but I am looking forward to more classes upon my return.

I feel so lucky to have found LFBK! My daughter is thriving and never wants to leave when I come to pick her up! My husband is French and the language is so important to us! I do not speak French so it was very important to us to find a program that was fun to inspire our kids to learn.

We did a program last year that was fine but the environment wasn't comfortable or inspiring. I noticed a BIG difference when we joined LFBK- the very first day. My children count and sing at home together in French and they didn't do that before. They are interested in the language and fearless!

There are so many fun things to do at LFBK! Last semester we did reading and comprehension and music and my daughter loved it! This semester she is really loving hip hop and very proud of herself! And all in French. The teachers are loving and feel like family. The children are always well mannered and smiling. I feel like I have found a community that I will cherish for ever! I am so grateful!

Amazing French cultural center, preschool, camp, and play center. The teachers are absolutely lovely, warm, fun, and super creative. They have constantly and patiently gone above and beyond the standard schooling, taking extra steps to aid in our child’s development. We are so happy that classes are offered for all age groups, so we can continue to attend past preschool! Magda and her team are truly incredible and have made a very special gem for us in Brooklyn.
