(December 13, 2021, 11:06 am)Great place to see art and handmade crafts by artists. Exciting location with the best shore view of the Statue of Liberty. The exhibition is in a stone and brick building dating back to 1850. Two excellent restaurants in the neighborhood and a short walk to IKEA

(September 5, 2021, 9:18 pm)I'm biased as I exhibit my fine art photography there, but that doesn't mean it's not a great spot to spend a weekend afternoon enjoying art. Admission price is your discretion but since it's non-profit donations are welcomed. 2 floors and 25,000 square feet house 3 exhibitions during the summer and fall on weekends from 1-6. The summer can be a bit uncomfortable due to the proximity to the water and lack of AC but when it's cool it's a dream. All the art is for sale so you might discover a nice piece for your home. The area in Redhook doesn't feel like New York with all the classic cars parked on various streets and the lack of tall buildings obstructing views. Many different places to eat like Hometown BBQ, Brooklyn Crab, Lobster Pound and Steve's Key Lime Pie all within walking distance. And if you feel adventurous you could always take a ferry from Wall Street and explore as you walk to the gallery. It's worth a visit.
