(October 14, 2018, 9:12 pm)I was here for a beach cleanup with a group from a non-profit organization called HarborLab. It's a nice peaceful island, although sadly, terribly littered with debris.

(September 23, 2018, 8:27 pm)The NYC Urban Park Rangers lead occasional canoe excursions to this restored nature preserve from the Salt Marsh Nature Center It is hard to believe you are in the same New York City as the skyscrapers of Manhattan.

(May 18, 2018, 2:15 pm)I've kayaked here a few times and the beach is quite nice, although a bit dirty. There is a nice view of the creek from White Island.
