Joe is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He did a great job with the setup of my Taylor 414ce which hadn’t been consistently played in 5 years and was last setup most likely 8-10 years ago. The guitar was in pretty good shape to begin with but I can tell the level of expertise Joe used in order to make it seem like brand new.
Forget the corporate guitar store, go to Joe! I brought in a guitar that was in need of servicing, not knowing the condition it was in. Joe said it needed a lot of work, he stated a fair price, and he was able to repair it in a timely fashion. He answered all my questions, has been in that same store for over 20 years, and said I can come back to him if any issues. I’d highly recommend him!
I rarely write reviews.
I was taught guitar by Rich, an old timer at the shop. Years later I am so thankful I took lessons at this shop as my love for guitar never faded. I loved the store so much I wanted to work there.
Recently, I brought a new fender mustang to the shop that had a bit of buzz and got excellent service by Joe. At first I thought I simply needed a setup to get going. 75$ no problem. We'll low and behold Joe found the Fender shop forgot to put a ground wire in for me. No wonder I had buzz. I thought mustangs were just naturally noisy. Best yet, he still charged me 75$. Easily a 200$ job.
Don't bother shopping anywhere else, or getting setup at a box chain. Joe does immaculate work. This guitar refuses to go out of tune and plays beautifully. Joe is a master class guitar fixer.
Don't even think of looking elsewhere guys. This man is a guitar cyborg.
I brought in a 20 year old Fender which was badly damaged and warped. Joe restored it to literally better than new condition. The man was beaming with pride when he returned it to me. Joe loves his work and it shows. The price was also very reasonable.
I don’t know where to begin, except to say that surely no one else on the planet would have taken on the challenge of erasing the hideous damage my kids accidentally inflicted upon my beloved 12-string Guild guitar, unbeknownst to me, 20 years ago. My embarrassment was painful, having no clue that it wasn’t repeated clumsiness on my part! When I found out the truth, I brought it to Joe, and I know that the damage was so very extensive he only agreed to try to restore it because he is incredibly kind and tender-hearted. He knew it meant a lot to me and that it was my favorite guitar. A wonderful human being. Long story short…WOW! I am beyond thrilled! Too bad I didn’t think of taking “before” photos! It was so badly and deeply chipped all along the edges, and the finish was blackened in some spots—you can’t even imagine how ugly it was! So happy and grateful to him for his care and artistry. Amazing, skillful craftsmanship! Also fixed an issue with the neck , re-did the fretboard, and set it up so it plays perfectly…beautifully! Thank you so much, Joe! I am so happy! I highly recommend Joe and look forward to bringing my other guitars to him.
