I was referred to EGE by a colleague for corner balance and alignment services. I was very hesitant to give EGE a shot as I only entrust these services to real shops that build race cars or pit and crew for race teams. Upon further investigation, I came to learn that is exactly what Steve does for a living - flies from city to city, and track to track to work for race teams. They are better known as fly-in mechanics for hire.

These type of mechanics are extremely knowledgeable and have a better understanding of how to really set up a car to achieve optimal balance. They work on real racing machines, not just slap bolt-ons all day.

While the shop is a smaller operation (has it's pros and cons)... overall, I was extremely impressed by EGE's responsiveness and professionalism. I dropped my car off in the morning, and it was ready by the early afternoon. I was updated with information all throughout the service which kept me up to speed, as well as allowed me to make some important decisions on the fly regarding the target specs.

In sum, if you are looking for a shop that is honest, clean, and professional... I give EGE my vote of confidence. This review comes from a very particular client who has been around the block and seen some of the best and worst there is too offer. For me, my experience with EGE was top notch and I appreciate their professionalism and transparency.

El Gato Engineering is the only place I bring my Abarth too, I only trust Steve when it comes to working on my car. I've been going to him for the last 6 years. Steven is an ardent professional. He upgraded several modifications to my 2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio. Installing the full Remus Cat-Back Exhaust system, Eurocompulsion Cold Air Intake and the Eurocompulsion Euro-Drive ECU Remap System. Simply the best, Steven is very meticulous in his work ethic. His pedigree with also being a race car support engineer solidifies his reputation.

Steve at El Gato Engineering is one of the best mechanics i've ever come across. After having him work on my cars over the last few years I wouldn't go to anyone else! El Gato is like Olive Garden "When you're here, you're family"

I can guarantee you that if you take your car to Steve @ElGatoEngineering you will leave his garage extremely happy. First of all, he’s very nice and welcoming, with positive attitude and overall a cool dude.

The moment I walked into the garage it was like I entered in a pharmacy! Everything was in its place, spotless, clean and organized- you could tell that he cares about organization and cleanliness.

He’s specialized in sports and rare cars. Himself he owns a Ford Focus RS, Ford Sierra Cosworth etc. He did an oil/filter change on my 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth, and he also inspected it. We spoke about options to tune it as he is known to be a master of doing it. Whatever you imagine he can make it happen (if it’s physically and mechanically doable:) )

I am very happy with this experience and surely I will be back at El Gato Engineering. You get more than what you pay for. I highly recommend them.
