  Huge nursery in Nassau county, Long Island. They have special displays for every season. We came during the winter holidays after Thanksgiving and Santa was there to take photos and listen to the kids Christmas wishes. They have a small cafe where you can buy some snacks, cookies, drinks and more. The line for santa is long so its good for a snack if the kids get restless.

  It was a delight working with Craig from Hicks Nurseries for the design of my landscaping. He came in within the budget I had in mind and provided me with prompt and professional service as well as a beautiful landscape design for my home. The gentlemen that worked on the installation were neat and very professional as well. As an interior designer, I will be recommending Craig and his team at Hicks should my clients ever ask me for a landscaper referral. I look forward to enjoying my new gardens in the spring!

  A wonderful nursery! Beautiful Christmas gallery, too. The fall festival and holiday events are cute for families. Their homemade pies, muffins, preserves, etc are delicious! I will say, however, I had a very negative experience at the indoor cafe today that took it down a star. I was next to purchase a slice of pie and a woman in front of me was asking for a slice of peach cobbler. There were 2 cashiers (an young oriental female who seemed new but very sweet and a short, older woman who was plain rude) and they were BOTH on the phone asking the kitchen about more peach cobbler. This wasn't a quick phone call. When the younger female hung up, I politely said, "Would you mind ringing me up real quick? I'm only getting this one thing." She told me she had to call the kitchen again (I'm not sure why as the other woman was talking to them). I said, "I don't understand." At this point there was a line behind me. The older woman yelled over, "You'll have to wait! We'll be with you shortly." I put my item back. I'm very disappointed as it's not what I expected from such a great place.

  I am writing this email from my backyard, basking in it's beauty and wanting to say thank you. We now have a lovely garden, fully landscaped to perfection. We are excited to see it all come alive next year and enjoy the three season blooms you selected for us.
  
  This project was simply put, a fabulous experience. Tom, your design was perfect. You listened to everything we wanted and developed the perfect landscape plan for our backyard. Your knowledge of both design and the selection of shrubs, trees and perennials, made for a landscape more beautiful than we could have imagined. The project crew, led by Alex and his amazing team, worked tirelessly for two days, being mindful and respectful of us and our home at all times. This team was polite, knowledgeable, skillful and professional. They went the extra mile to do everything just right from hand trimming all of our existing scrubs and trees to moving the things we wanted to keep into the perfect places, and they arrived each day with friendly smiles and a bright hello. Alex and his crew were outstanding.
  
  My husband and I have lived in our home for 33 years and have had many workmen do projects in our home, but none held a candle to the care and concern for detail and outcome as Alex and his super team. This project exceeded our expectations and we are excited at the prospect of all the enjoyment we will have for many years to come.
