Great place to pick up locally made crafts and goods. Items range from books, to art, to jewelry, to local honey and more. All supporting local artisans.
I defy you to go in the Hive Market and not find the greatest, most creative, most unique gift ever. They have cultivated an amazing collection of local artisans in a warm, welcoming shop that’s just a lot of fun to poke around in. Worth a stop-in!
The Hive Market and Makers Space has been a wonderful addition to the town of Oyster Bay. They have an amazing assortment of unique crafts and a natural collection of homemade goods. What a terrific shop to buy a gift. I’ve bought birthday, anniversary and graduation gifts and all were perfect. And of course earrings for me! The two women who run the store, Laura and Claudine, are so helpful and creative. They are currently running interesting workshops - jewelry making, book lectures, embroidery and mosaics, etc. Can’t wait to take my embroidery class!
The Hive Market & Maker's Space is such a wonderful and unique place. The shop is owned by two charming local women, Laura & Claudine. You really should stop by and visit. I went Sunday to bring more of my decoupaged Bee Shells to sell. (I am one of the many local artisans who have their handcrafted goods available in the retail section of the Hive.) While I was there a mindfulness embroidery workshop was going on in the Maker's Space area. Check out their website and Instagram posts for other upcoming workshops. I spent my time chatting with Laura and looking at all the wonderful one-of-a-kind art works and handmade goods. They get new stuff in all the time. I also bought a cute little jar of beach glass for myself. I plan to make a couple of wire-wrapped beach glass necklaces in the near future. They really have something for everyone.
This place is a gem! I went in to check it out and buy a gift and I left with one adorable dress for my friends baby who is turning one and then a bunch of gifts for myself! Every inch of this store has a handmade treasure to be found.
