I was fortunate enough to find Dr. Mel Fernandez who was referred to me from a Rehab facility in Queens, NY. I was looking for a physical therapist who would come to my home, as I was in an immobilizer and not able to drive to a rehab facility. Experienced and competent at-home physical therapists are not an easy find – and I wanted the same therapist who would get to know me and my injury – not have someone different each time. Dr. Fernandez is personable, competent, experienced and knowledgeable, who worked with me on my strengthening exercises.
