“As vegans we were getting bored with eating tacos with frijoles, so was excited to discover this place had mushroom tacos. They were generous with the filling, not only with mushrooms but also onions and nopales or string beans. The slice of avocado on each taco was a nice touch. I also appreciate when people use corn tortillas instead of flour bc many flour ones contain whey (dairy). The red and green hot sauces brought it all together. And You can’t beat the price, too! There’s some cute Mexican crafts for sale, too. The only room for improvement is that I like a little freshness in my tacos so added some raw onions and cilantro. The host was welcoming and generous. We knew we did not want him to pass in a cold vet's office, but would rather help him transition to his next life, in the comfort of our home. As soon as she walked in, she got on the floor and began to love on Goose. It was like he was greeting a long lost friend, kissing her face and immediately taking to her. Dr. Kara's presence has left our family speechless, I honestly don't know if I have ever met someone as special as her. Her soul is truly beautiful. She never once rushed us, explaining each step and taking time to learn about Goose and all of our other dogs. She came prepared with a bag full of treats and made sure Goose was comfortable and happy. When the time came to let him go, she was patient with us - it was the most peaceful and beautiful experiences any of us have ever shared together. “I had several expensive suits with holes in the elbows that I thought were done for. I took them to various tailors around the Tampa area, and they all told me I either had to toss the suits or put those hideous elbow pads on them. That seemed extreme so I did some research and learned about "reweaving." Then, after some more research I came across Isabella who might be the only reweaver in the southwest Florida area. She completely saved the suits and you can't even tell there was ever a hole in them. She is amazing at her craft and saved me hundreds of dollars. I cannot recommend her enough. Very nice woman and was communicative throughout the process. Happy to plug a small business owner as well.”

“Very small store, almost like a little corner deli. Has a bit of everything that speaks to Caribbean flavors and foods. Fresh produce and spices used in a lot of island cooking. Three tight fitting aisles, no shopping carts but they have hand baskets. If you have small children either carry them, let them walk, or use an umbrella stroller. A full size stroller won't fit down the aisles. A good portion of the products are obviously hand-packaged. Prices are really good on almost everything! Portions are available in various sizes for most items. Staff was friendly and helpful. For authentic Caribbean cooking this is a good place to start for ingredients.”
