“This place has grown on me over the years. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 10 years and the place has definitely gotten better. There are now fresh fruits and vegetables, previously only Portuguese meats and pastries. Prices however are higher than other stores right around the corner. But hey...location location location. The Portuguese food and pastries are amazing as well as the coffee selection. Would like to see more produce selection. Would be awesome if they had breakfast sandwiches.”

“In July of 2015, a reoccurring problem with my legs from splinters from a dock (treated wood had arsnic pressure treated in it) causing ulcers. I was sent to a dermatologist, and the cream treatment caused my legs to swell, ooze, and eventually burst open. After 11 days in the hospital (South Nassau Communities) I was referred to Dr Friedman at the wound clinic. I could not have been treated better anywhere. My condition was resolved after many small "surgery's", and the care by his "angels" (nurses) was the best. I highly recommend the facility, and the care I received.”

The items I shared with my wife got an immediate positive, which is quite unusual for her. Excellent taste and texture. Excellent proportioning of ingredients. A tad sweet but overall excellent. Carrot cake was probably the best I've had. Wish they made a more traditional bread style crumb bun but you cant have everything. If I had to nitpick, I'd improve on the coffee.”

I was a little apprehensive at first but once there I loved everything about it. From the pink decor all over to the professionalism from the owner herself and the execution of the hairstyle I wanted! The young men and women who work as assistants are invaluable and I am confident they will each make wonderful therapists themselves one day. The two physical therapists that I have been seeing recently are actually the owners. Jim and Joe are amazing! They are caring, supportive and give you just enough of a push so that you understand that if there’s no pain, there’s no gain. Recovering from an injury or accident is not easy. Attending physical therapy several times a week can certainly become a chore but Jim and Joe make it bearable. There’s absolutely no reason not to go to Merrick Physical Therapy. I highly recommend!”
