“Great Neck Yoga, the classes offered there are suitable for the new to yoga student and yet still challenging enough for those who have been practicing for years. The prices at Great Neck Yoga are reasonable as well as there are packages offered that when purchased save money in the long term. Laurie's style of yoga, Prana Shakti Flow provides the practitioner the ability to learn from the ground up, the basics and yes eventually the more challenging poses, however that is not the goal in yoga or when Laurie teaches. At Great Neck Yoga, the practice builds a strong foundation which is really so important, without a strong foundation, nothing can stand safely, basically our practice and our life will be unsustainable. I have been a student of Laurie's for just about 10 years, I also became a teacher through her and Long Island Yoga School and I can say that if it weren't for Laurie and her compassionate and thorough way of teaching, I might not be doing what I do today or living well, (mind body and spirit), in the way that I am. I'm so very grateful for meeting Laurie so many years ago and for the practice of Yoga that she has brought to so many, including myself which is also found in my every day life, off the mat as well. Great Neck Yoga is a yoga studio that reminds the body what 'home' and love of self feels like.”
