I have been to many services and programs in a variety of synagogues in Nassau and Queens and this is the warmest most welcoming environment that I have encountered. The clergy is friendly and approachable, the services are lively, the music is amazing, and the congregants are like friends you just haven't seen in a while. This is the Cheers of Synagogues, where everybody knows your name, they are always glad you came, and there is a seat already waiting for you. The services, programs and events are well organized and well attended, and the membership fees are some of the most reasonable in the area. There are a lot of congregants from Nassau and Queens, and a few from Suffolk County. The religious school and children's programs are also one of the most diverse and comprehensive being offered locally. The building is lovely, boasting a beautiful new sanctuary, excellent caterer on site, and a nice ball room available for rental.”

When I looked up Beauty x Mark, I was really interested in the calligraphy haircut, which I had never heard of before. There really are not many places that offer it. When I read reviews, I found a lot of great reviews that mentioned Helen, so I was hoping to get an appt with her. To my luck there was a cancellation and I got in for the next morning. Joie welcomed me into the salon, like an old friend you can’t wait to catch up with. Helen is one of the owners and she is just incredible. Not only stunning, but warm, funny and the girl knows her stuff! She is a Gold Level Calligraphy artist, which is very hard to come by and takes years of experience and education. I’ve had the same old, boring, straight haircut for years, having fallen into a mommy rut. I didn’t bring a picture, I didn’t even know what I wanted (which is literally the worst for a hair stylist to work with, so I’m sorry I did that to her lol) but let me tell you… Helen somehow went into my brain and knew exactly what I wanted. I now have a sexy, curtain bang haircut that makes me feel like a million bucks. My hair feels incredible and she gave me so many tips to manage by myself. I’m thankful to have found a home there. Highly recommend!”
