It really is a landmark, having been in the same building since 1869, back when the river was much closer than it is today. Great bar, plenty of Irish choices on hand and on tap and weekly traditional Irish music and dance. Had a mean shepherd pie there. My daughter first got meet and know her best friend throughout elementary school there.

Great Irish bar off the beaten track but still only a few blocks from time square. They have some of their own beers as well as the most popular Irish beers and nice food menu. I got the landmark breakfast (Irish breakfast) which was great bar my bacon being over cooked.

My crew loved this place. We had just finished seeing my dad's old ship USS Intrepid CVS-11

An old New York Irish pub in every sense of the word. My Aunt and Uncle really enjoyed the fish and chips. Fries were perfect fresh cut style. Great offering of whiskey wine and beer. My burger was a nice medium rare, but the cheese was maybe a half step up from Kraft singles.

Nice restaurant and good food. Can be a bit cold next to the windows in winter. The burger was good, very good in fact. It would be good to have some vegeratians/vegan options as well.
Worth eating there is you are in the area. Prices are around 10 dollars for soup/salads, and around 15$ for main dishes.

Stopped by here for an early dinner after a day at the Intrepid. Cozy place, not busy at all. Kind and friendly staff. The food was very nice- Fish & Chips with big pieces of fish, fantastic Bangers & Mash, plus be sure to get a basket of Fries with Garlic Mayo, amazing.

About us. In 1868 Patrick Henry Carley opened his Landmark Tavern, an Irish Waterfront Saloon. In those days there was no 12th Avenue, just the shores of the Hudson, on which his Tavern sat. Mr. and Mrs. Carley designed their new saloon to also be a practical home for their children on the second and third floors.

Landmark Tavern - Hell's Kitchen - New York, NY - Yelp

An Irish pub with the weathered woodwork that could likely tell many a story, The Landmark Tavern is a great place to score some slightly upscale pub food or some tasty fish. Prices are what you would expect in New York so there wasn't any particular sticker shock and they took good care of our group of 5 without issue.

Just right! - I was recently on a business trip to NYC for a convention and staying at Ink48 (across the street). TheFeastdotcom had some excellent reviews for the Landmark Tavern which I would have to concur with; the Shepards Pie was excellent, the music was great, and the upkeep of this historic tavern was truly impressive.
