Flavorful, tender chicken - good portion. Quick, fun staff. Recommended if you are not familiar with the cuisine (like me) but want to give it a try!
Definitely a gem around the central park that not many people know about . The food was soul touching. I had the yassa chicken bowl that had grilled chicken, plantains, flavored rice and salad, and I must tell you everything was just heaven. If you are looking to try African food, this is the place for you.
I found this spot after a quick Google search for African delicacies. It is truly a nice spot to relax and have a good fusion on different African delicacies. In one plate, you can have a taste of Nigeria, Ghana perhaps Senegal etc. which is unique and pairs well together. While it was good to have a taste of the local Nigerian malt drink, Maltina, I won’t say it tasted any better than your regular locally produced malt drinks here in the US which are way cheaper ($1 compared to $4). I have been here twice now and my food was served cold on both occasions I guess this is because of the Bukka style being adapted here but even so food remains hot or warm in those settings. Overall not a bad experience.
Ufff i love the vibe in here. Delicious food with plenty vegan options, Afrobeats playing in the background, seat yourself and pay at your seat making it super convenient. There’s all types of seating and the wall decor, accent African pieces and bookshelf with Black writers combined uplifts the whole experience. Chefs kiss-will definitely be returning, regularly. I’m a fan!
Amazing and delicious food. I had great introduction to African food with The Ancient Vegan bowl.
Everything on the plate is delicious. The hot sauce is pretty spicy 🌶
