One of the more unique stations in the system. I don’t know why people say there are stairs going up to street level that smell like piss, when it’s just a tunnel one direction and an elevator on the other side. The tunnel does get wet from condensation from being inside the mountain and plenty of tourists who clog the system not knowing where to go. Aside that great station.
You could smell pee when you walk along the stair up to the street level.
It is different from every other station the tiles and the slope makes it so unique I love it so much
I think it's interesting how deep underground this station is. It's very old. But, well kept.
This along with 181st IRT are two of the deepest underground stations in NYC.
I love the 1900's architecture with all the decorative small tiles. Especially on the platform walls & ceilings.
DEEP station that's not that clean. The exit is built into Fort Tyron Park and looks beautiful.
