I miss the school so much! I clean up after my self and would give six stars and I m the best Spider-Man of the world! And I love the school!! And I love David! I miss you guys!!!!
Great school! Since a couple of months, we have a correspondence with one of the GSM classes ☺️ Our Austrian students love corresponding with the GSM students! Keep rocking!
We've been sending our daughter to GSM for several months now in the Kindergarten class. She is in a dual-lingual curriculum with English and German, but she mostly speaks German to all her classmates. I love it that she sometimes comes home and uses some new German words that I totally forgot about.
The school is well organized with very frequent communication with parents (including sending pictures/videos on a somewhat weekly basis), the teachers have a great relationship with the students. Besides the regular curriculum, there are school activities such as the German Schultuete ceremony at the beginning of class, theater/play performances, taking the kids to local museums such as the Intrepid flight carrier. Access to German books via Kinderbooks (a German children's book subscription) is a plus too.
The school has two facilities in Tribeca. They are literally facing each other on the same street. The newer location is large and has a lot of sunlight, and parents can view in from the street level. The older location is a bit smaller and has less window space.
The school takes COVID-19 precautions seriously. There is a mandatory COVID test each week (that is actually administered at the school). The school also provided our daughter with a student MetroCard.
Overall, the school staff are doing their best to provide a welcoming sense of culture and community and the kids in the class have a great sense of belonging.
