My friends and I were in Nicolás Zuluaga's Level 1 & 2 classes. We are also enrolling in his Level 3 class. I love the format of reviewing homework, speaking, reading, and learning new material. If you miss a class, you can take a make-up class that has the same homework/format. Nicolas is very good in that he engages all the students equally, no matter your level/ability. He's very encouraging and patient, especially with the speaking portion of the class. I highly recommend him! It doesn't matter if you make mistakes, as long as you keep trying.
I just finished my Beginners course with Nick and it was great! The quality of material we learned was perfect for a beginners course. The instructor always made the class feel comfortable participating, and the class environment was very encouraging of success. I am already signed up for the next level and am excited to continue with Berges!
I have gone through all 5 levels of the Berges Institute Spanish classes and I am now in Intermediate Conversation, all with Alejandro Navarro as my instructor. Alejandro is an excellent teacher who strives to support students of all levels to improve and to ensure that class material is interesting and engaging. I will be starting another conversation class with Alejandro soon, so I guess that's the best endorsement I can give!
While looking around for a Spanish class to take to heighten my skills in Spanish, I found this one thanks to a coupon on Groupon. I wanted to express really quick how much I enjoyed my time taking the classes here. Thanks to the current pandemic, I was able to experience the Spanish classes both in person and online. In person was great, the classroom felt like an actual classroom, the textbook that were handed out was very informative and explain things well. While the location was a bit tricky to find to be honest, after you go there a few times you start getting the hang of the location.
My instructor, Karen, was also a sweetheart too. She explained everything well, and was super patient with us as well, and knew well how to teach when the classes moved online as well. For anyone taking classes at this Institute I highly suggest signing up for her class if you know that she's instructing them.
Overall the Berges Institute was a great experience, and I learn alot during my first level of Spanish there. I will definitely come back to level 2 once the school reopens again after the pandemic.
I really enjoyed my Spanish class at Berges. The pace of the course was perfect - we received enough homework to help move things along but it was never overwhelming. Nicolas was a wonderful teacher - engaging, funny and just extremely knowledgeable about the Spanish language. I highly recommend taking one of his classes.
