I had attended Michaels classes in Los Angeles and loved every minute I returned to nyc for more.I took his Masters class on 28 th st. His methods of teaching were superior to my other instructors in the past plus the amount of flowers received in his classes was beyond expectations. I think that his school is the best out there. He teaches all his classes so the quality is there,. I can say I spent 3 k and 4 weeks in London learning from another designer and feel I learned more in one day w michael. I had an excellent experience at the NY school of flower design. The teacher was great: Michael Gaffney himself (the owner and primiere florist). Michael is a brilliant teacher, making class fun and making everything easy to understand, even for an amateur like me. He shares his tips and secrets that got him to where he is in his career, doing floral design for celebrities and movie sets. I took the classes because I wanted to learn how to make arrangements for my home. What is great about the classes is they are tailored both for people like me and those who want to become professional florists. I also highly recommend Michael Gaffney's books, "Design Star" and "Flower Power" the next best thing to the class itself. I can't wait to now take what I learned and make my house look professionally decorated with floral arrangements!
