The staff at the Manhattan Center for Headache and Neurology was helpful and professional and the DNP, FNP, Tanesha Reynolds gave me the most thorough exam I have ever had, and I have been previously to three other neurologoists. She was exceptional, and I give her five stars.
I went to the Manhattan Center for Headache and Neurology because I've been having migraines that are unbearable at times. I've tried so many medications and I'm so tired of it. I was seeking other approaches besides prescription management. Dr Halpern suggested options like behavioral approaches, dietery changes, biofeedback sessions, massage therapy and natural supplements. I am now successfully managing my headaches. Presently, I only get a migraine a few times a month! Thank you Dr. Halpern. I also would like to give praise to the front desk staff. They are so kind and accomodating. My first appointment was a same day appointment. That was unbelievable.
Dr Halpern has been my headache neurologist for several years. She is compassionate and understanding. Dr Halpern tries the latest innovative headache treatments, worked with me as far as getting insurance to cover expensive drugs, and has helped me to manage my headaches for the past several years. I have recommended her to others.
I have seen numerous neurologists who give me a pain reliever for my migraines. The pain reliever had varying effectiveness and eventually would stop being effective and if get a new pain reliever. I still had headaches about 8 or 10 times a month. Dr Halpern has examined, tested, scanned and evaluated my condition and has given me a plan to prevent migraines from starting, and then shortening the duration and severity of my attacks. It has been 9 months and while my headaches improved over that time, it has been over a month since my last attack. I can't believe it's been this long. She has given me a new lease on life. I can do my job more effectively, I can travel, I can do things I never was able to do before she was treating me. Thank you Dr Halpern.
