I was young (17/18) and with my love trying to impress her, going to Sardi's, and a Broadway show. I think I succeeded. My palate wasn't good enough to judge but was treated extremely nice as if I were 40 and on a date. The famous people's pictures on the wall and theatre ambiance was enough. I loved her before, then, and now. She was the best woman I ever knew. I only wish I had married her and got through the good with the bad. I've enjoyed lots of life and some love, but never like Noel Louise. - Jeff (back in 1973) ....I wish you the very best for the remainder of your years. Thank you for being there, glad I was the "first", you were too.
I can’t believe Sardi’s is still closed, I wanted to show my son all the famous pics on the wall! I really. Hope they re-open. They had the best soup
I'm looking so forward to Sardi's reopening, which I heard might be in September to coincide with the reopening of Broadway. I've been there many times over the years, and it's my first-choice restaurant to take out-of-town guests for lunch or dinner. Indeed, the place is iconic. The old-world elegance, the walls of historic caricatures, the exemplary service and the prime location make for a super experience every time. And, the FOOD is always a joy...delicious and well-presented. My favorite is their Steak Tartare...the best in NYC! Every dish I've ever eaten has been wonderful...including their desserts. Don't forget to make time for a pre-dinner drink in their quaint cocktail lounge. You'll feel like you're in the 1940's Hollywood!
Classic place, that you must try. Food was good, menu limited. Service good
