  I love this place. It is breathtaking. Quiet, serene. a wonder place to meditate. You can feel the appreciation of nature here.

  Excellent public park covering a bit of area - no outside sounds. Beautiful lake. Only drawback is no swimming. Saw a pair of mating turtles. A local said there are eagles and occasional black bears. Big contrast to nearby Orange Lake with NO public access whatsoever.

  Highly recommend staying here. It’s just 20 minutes away from the town of Beacon on the Hudson river and cold springs very awesome towns to check out. Lots of little stores and Quaint little Streets with restaurants and shops. Campgrounds are very wooded in private not many people use them by the looks of it.. they have electric sites but no hook ups far as water and sewer. They do have a dump station and a place to full you’re holding tank for freshwater. Bathrooms weren’t too bad just rustic but clean. Park ranger was very nice and friendly. Most the time you do not even make a reservation you pick your site and pay for it that day. Reservations are only on major holiday weekends. They rent boats and have a big lake to play and fish in..

  It's so peaceful and calm, great place to take kids for safe fun and fresh air.
