(November 27, 2018, 9:19 pm)Car Pond Mountain doesn't provide good views on the top, but it's a nice short hike from the trailhead on Route 106.
You can easily make it a 5 mile loop by extending the hike to Parker Cabin Hollow brook, Parker Cabin Mountain, Tom Jones Mountain and Black Rock.
Trail maps are available from local hiking organization (do a search for "NYNJTC Harriman map")
