  If you can’t read the manifesto below, in a word, my experience was excellent!
  Well, to say I am petrified of the dentist is an understatement! There I was in need of much dental work....avoidance for years...and a pressing root canal! When I finally got up the courage-thinking before the tooth erupts in pain- I went in and consulted w Doctor McClaga-I hope I am spelling his name correctly!
  I desperately needed a cleaning; saw hygienist Christine-I was afraid bc ‘everything hurts’ when I get my mouth cleaned...Christine was wonderful! She was very kind and gentle, she was very focused on her work and did not cause any pain whatsoever to my fragile teeth. I do love how clean my teeth are!
  in comes the doctor mc claga, geez I’m almost frozen w panic. I share this w him, we talked about my fear, he took his time patiently, calmly explains each piece of the procedure. He was reassuring and told me how to stop him if need be.
  He was very gentle with the needle, truly I did not feel a thing AND I remember it was horrible in the past... he begins and complete a root canal in one sitting. He asks me consistently how I am, every step in the process he explained to me and how it would feel; he was accurate every time. Truly I can not express to you how pain free it was. PAIN FREE!! Amazing!! And quick-ish!
  The staff out front, Alexis and Betsy, have tolerated my insanity and seem entertained by my antics which is far better than having no one relate to your fear when you are at the DENTIST! They are lovely people who are really helpful and have perfect personalities to deal w the numerous patients w their personalities.They are actually kind and patient and take time to listen to your needs. You can hear in their voice they are genuine in their care for you. The other young persons there are wonderful as well, unfortunately I don’t know their names yet; they too are interested in you overall and Create an environment where you know they are are truly interested in your well being.
  If you are afraid of the dentist go and see doctor McClaga. He had two wonderful assistants, who were absolutely perfect for the role I needed them for in addition to, of course, their extreme
  professionalism.
  Everyone is very warm and outgoing, upbeat and interactive. I enjoy the people and the environment is warm and relaxing. Good luck!!

  I went in for an unexpected root canal and cleaning. The entire staff was professional and very compassionate. I was not having the best of days at the time, but the Orange County Dental staff and my Dentist showed me such compassion. Thank you !
