We tried a few violins and picked one my wife liked, they offered to buy or rent deal, we rented and the deal was after 18 months you can use the money you already spent on the rental to purchase the instrument, but if you rent longer than that only 18 months of the amount can contribute to the instrument, I think it's a great deal, so no need to purchase yet, can enjoy and test out your violin first.
