I recently was in need of full setups on two of my guitars. Through a friend he recommended Pat and i guitar workshop. i couldn't be happier with the service Pat did on my guitars. They came back playing and feeling great. I guitar workshop is now my go to shop for setups and electronic work on all my guitars. Highly Recommended !!!

Patrick is the consummate professional. He is highly skilled as a luthier, does exceptional work and has a broad knowledge of ground breaking technology with respect to recording and USB guitar connectivity. More than that , he is friendly, honest and loves what he does.

Patrick's workmanship is absolutely first rate. My Martin Custom D had developed a crack in the back. Patrick repaired it seamlessly and did a perfect set up. Similarly he brought my neglected Seagull parlour guitar back to life and its now a delight to play. Not only a talented luthier with a wealth of knowledge of both acoustic and electric guitars and the array of technological options available but also a talented player and a great raconteur!

I have Godin guitar. Very special to me. It was in desperate need of electronic and set-up repair. I had taken it to two other repair shops to have basic electronic and set-up work done. The work was not done correctly and the electronics were still not working properly. I'm so glad I finally took my guitar to Patrick at the iGuitar Workshop in Cold Spring. Patrick took the time to explain and help me understand how my guitar could be enhanced electronically and functionally with a few modifications to upgrade the instrument. It is now so much easier to maintain. The electronics have been enhanced and work perfectly and overall the guitar plays and sounds better that ever before. Thank you Patrick. Your the best!

Patrick did an outstanding job on my '64 Gibson Johnny Smith archtop.

Here's the story: the guitar needed a fret job and other playability attention. My long-time luthier recently passed away, so after searching for a luthier that could handle this type of special instrument, a shop in Western MA was recommended. They worked on the guitar and screwed it up royally: used the wrong frets, mis-cut a nut, re-glued neck binding but didn’t fill and smooth, the action was horrible, etc.

I subsequently had the guitar evaluated by a friend who did work for Brian Moore Guitars and he confidently recommended Patrick.

After Patrick examined the guitar in person, we agreed on the necessary repairs. He provided a reasonable estimate and delivery date. He helped me select the proper frets (I wanted “original”) and noticed a number of issues needing attention. He also took the time to observe how I played and how I wanted the guitar set up.

He lets instruments sit in his climate-controlled shop long enough to get the humidity right before starting repairs.

The guitar needed the end of the fingerboard leveled, new frets, nut adjustment, and reshaping of the wooden bridge. He also had to recut (deepen) some fret slots where the board was leveled. Additionally, he filled and polished the finish when the neck binding had been re-glued and you can’t even see or feel that repair.

I lived with the repairs for over a week before pronouncing final judgement. The guitar plays better than ever and sounds incredible! The neck, frets, and action are perfect! Filing the fret ends on a bound fingerboard isn’t easy, but they look flawless.

He also communicated well during the whole process, including follow-up.

There are other luthiers around here, but if you have a beloved instrument and want the repairs done properly, go to iGuitar Workshop. You won’t be disappointed.
