Great park for short or long hikes, small lake/pond that if you have your own boat you can paddle on. Recent tornado or strong wind brought down a bunch of trees in the entrance area, including a majestic giant of a tree that must be over a hundred.
Nice place for a scenic day hike. You need to be in moderately good shape to do this work.
The walk in was moderately difficult (my wife has asthma and had to stop halfway to the lake) but worth the effort. The lake is covered with lily pads in midsummer.

Make sure you bring an MP3 player or something. You can hear the road as far in as the first lake (Wonder). The second lake (Laurel) is the nicer of the two because you actually feel like you're in nature.
I took the yellow trail in and the blue diamond trail back. They intertwine and together you can do a full circuit of the area in a couple hours. It's a pretty easy hike with good tree cover the whole way, very well blazed trails (only the roads at the far end are unmarked). If only there wasn't road noise.
