  On the whole I am very happy with Brook Farm Vet. In the past they had some issues with timeliness, but they made efforts to remediate the situation in the moment, and more importantly have put in new practices to stay on schedule. Of course emergencies happen, and I would always expect some leeway to accommodate. Most importantly, they have always been thoughtful and caring, whether my cats were brought in for a routine visit or an emergency. And not for nothing, but they are reasonably cost-sensitive - they have been straightforward when testing was optional, so I could make a well-informed decision and keep costs in mind.

  Found this vet thru google maps after relocating from out of state and was very satisfied. Excellent vet and an exceedingly friendly and accomodating receptionist! I was very impressed with how helpful, frank, and direct the doctor was. Everyone truly cared about my dog's welfare and happiness and went above and beyond after taking my appointment on very short notice. Great vet tech too! This is the only vet my dog will be seeing from now on. Thanks!

  Late one Thursday I found my hamster in really bad shape. I knew she wasn't going to make it. Brook Farm was the closest vet open that took small animals. They were very kind and understanding on the phone. Once they got there they handled our emergency very well. As soon as we walked in the door they took my hamster and brought her back to the doctor. Unfortunately they were busy and couldn't set us up with a room. The receptionist was very kind and comforting while I was obviously in some major distress. The Doctor called me back minutes after seeing her and told me straight but kind exactly what was going on. She politely told me there was nothing she could do but put her down. I already knew that was the most likely outcome. She kept apologizing that they couldn't give me a room for privacy because they were already in use. I completely understand and wasn't expecting it. She gave me some time to say goodbye and took her back again. The receptionist made paying the fees super simple and only told me exactly what I needed to do right then. They gave me a package about dealing with the loss of a pet including flowers to plant and a rainbow bridge poem. They let me take her home which was very helpful to me for closure. They gave her back wrapped up. They helped to ease both of our suffering in the best way they could. But their kindness didn't end there. Even though it was just before Christmas they send a handwritten letter to me reminding me that I wasn't alone in feeling this way. Letting me know that when I am ready for a new furry adventure that they would be there for me and gave me a gift card to help set up the new one. Even though I live 40 minutes away and will pass at least 10 vets on the way I will be taking my next furry adventure there just for the care and compassion they showed to me.
