Outstanding moderately challenging workout. You can pickup the Appalachian Trail on U.S. 9 and Rt. 403 in Garrison N.Y.
You can Trek or Hike the loop and head to a couple of marshes where you can listen to the musical performance of frogs' mating call in early April.
There are two paths colloquially called Frog Hike & Osborn Loop Hike.
I highly recommend this experience with exquisite views of the Hudson River.
