Been going for two weeks and I'm very happy with how clean the facility is and how supportive the coaches and other members are considering how new I am. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to dive in muay thai or BJJ.
This is a place where all people of all different backgrounds are welcome. Instructors create a very comfortable environment to learn and grow. Best decision ever.
Clean facilities, SHOWERS, AC, friendly instructors and students. Some traditions such as white/blue Gi only for BJJ, bowing getting on/off mat. Theres always a brown/black belt teaching the BJJ classes
Notes:
The Jiujitsu is sport oriented with some notes of self-defense thrown in. Some instructors and students compete in tournaments, but not required. Competing is usually a good sign that a gym's Jiujitsu is legitimate. Highly encouraged to buy the gym branded Gi ($140-ish) or sew the gym patch ($10) onto your own Gi.
Muay Thai leans towards Dutch kickboxing. Can wear any shirt or shorts as long as one of them is gym branded
Experience at time of post: 10 months of BJJ, 1 week's worth of Muay Thai
I waited 1 month after joining to write this review. I wanted to be sure. This is the real deal. No BS at this school. Facility is clean. People are friendly and willing to show the ropes to absolute beginners like myself. The professors and instructors keep a great pace with each class and are very detail oriented. Plenty of street and metered parking, and also accessible via public transportation. My only regret is not joining the 1st day they opened.
